  • This Blu-ray release of "New Horizons" includes the Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Stereo Masters.

    Album History:

    From the album’s inception, it was the aspiration of Justin Gray and immersive producer Jonathan Kawchuk to release New Horizons in an immersive audio format. This Dolby Atmos production combines both multi-channel sources, with mono/stereo object placement, in order to synthesize a unique hybrid of natural space, with hyper-real spatial object placement. Each part of this recording was captured meticulously, using a combination of stereo and multi-channel recording techniques, in order to best support the production in the Dolby Atmos format.

    Technical Information:

    Dolby Atmos: The Dolby True HD encoded content was mixed and mastered by Justin Gray in 7.1.4 at Synthesis Sound and Immersive Mastering, in Toronto, Canada.

    Stereo (Hi-Res) PCM: The Stereo content was mixed and mastered at 192/24 by Justin Gray at Synthesis Sound and Immersive Mastering, in Toronto, Canada.

    *The listener will be able to play the Atmos content with the use of a Dolby True HD enabled Blu-ray player (UHD Blu-ray player). To experience the Dolby Atmos content, the Blu-ray player will need to be connected via HDMI (Bitstream), to a Dolby Atmos-enabled receiver.

    The listener will be able to play the stereo content with the use of a Blu-ray player connected to a stereo (192/24) capable receiver or amplifier (for Blu-ray players with an onboard DAC)
